Food Packaging Event #20 was a great success! The music was lively and spirits were high as over 1,000 volunteers packaged 205,000 meals in just under six hours, blowing away our goal of 180,000! Way to go San Diego!!
These Food Packaging Events are having mighty effects around the world. 300,000 meals were shipped directly from the event to Haiti, making a total of 660,000 shipped to that island nation. Another 300,000 meals will be shipped to Tanzania in the next few days, for a total of 1,400,000 shipped to that country in the last three years from San Diego.

"It is hard to explain in words what this trip has meant to me. It was the peak of my life thus far. From the people of Tanzania I learned how thankful I should be for every little thing in life because they were. And not only to be thankful but rejoice and share with everyone that I can. I loved being in the thick of it helping and knowing I was making a difference for so many people. I saw everyday how God had something planned for us and things for us to experience that we knew nothing about. I know I'll never be the same for these reasons and many more. Coming on this trip is something I will hold onto dearly for the rest of my life."
