 Curriculum Night:October 1st ,6.00 p.m.

The school will be running a compacted bell schedule so that you can simulate your son or daughter's daily schedule.  This gives you an opportunity to visit with each of the classrooms, meet the teachers and understand the guidelines and expectations for each content area.

Agenda:

The principal or teacher may briefly address the entire group, sharing information on general school goals and policies.

Each teacher discusses the following with the students' parents.

o Welcome the parents.

o Respond to beginning-of-the-year questions/concerns.

o Explain the academic direction for the year-curriculum areas in which the class will be

working and major requirements such as book reports, special projects, and the grading

scale.

o Explain the discipline plan.

o Identify ways parents can contribute to their child's learning and ways the teacher will

communicate with parents-what they can expect from the teacher and what the teacher

expects of them.

o Answer any other questions the parents may have.

Student Directory- In the Know

The Student Directory is published every year as a convenience to students (and parents), as well as to provide some useful information about the school and PTSA. The Student Directory is published during Fall Quarter and is distributed to all PTSA members.

Although the PTSA collects contact information from PTSA members as they join, the contact information for students that is listed in the Directory is actually provided by the Bellevue School District. The primary reason for this is to protect the privacy of those families that have asked the Bellevue School District not to publish their contact information. It is important to know this information for the following reasons:

  • If you requested of the Bellevue School District not to publish your information, then it will not appear on the Student Directory
  • If you have recently changed information, and have not updated the information you provided to the School District, it will not be up to date in the Student Directory. This seems to happen with email addresses in particular.

To update any contact information with Bellevue School District, please contact the Odle School Registrar, Cynthia Vaca at vacac@bsd405.org

If you wish to keep the privacy settings, but do wish to have minimal contact information in the Student Directory (e.g. parent email), then please contact the Directory Chair directly at ataves@pickatime.com

Thanks,

Anne
