This Week...
NJHS Members:  1st Meeting This Year
Monday, September 21st in Mrs. Hovest's Room 3:05pm-4:00pm.
Parents should pick up from the Front Office promptly at 4:00 p.m. Cross Country athletes are excused from practice on this day and should attend the NJHS meeting.

FIELD TRIP T-SHIRTS
Please make sure your child has a green Riverview "Field Trip" t-shirt that fits!  
T-Shirts are available in most sizes in the front office - $12 each or two for $20.  Payable by cash or check to "Riverview PTO"
Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, 7th and 8th grades all have field trips this week.  

Reminder - per family handbook policy, all field trips must be paid in full prior in advance of the field trip.  If you checked "online" on the permission slip form, you must make sure that your field trip is paid for on the Parent Portal.  

Cub Scout Informational Meeting
Tuesday 6:00 p.m. Cafeteria
Boy Scout troops are available in Beaufort for boys in 1st - 5th grades. Jake Baker of the Coastal Carolina Council will be at Riverview to present information and answer questions.
 
If your son is interested in participating, please make plans to attend this drop-in informational meeting to learn more about the troops, meet the leaders, complete paperwork, and more.  

All Pro Dads Breakfast Meeting  null
THIS FRIDAY 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. in the Cafeteria

Dads & kids: Team up with other Riverview dads and kids for a before school breakfast and a 45 minute program of fatherhood and family topics. You'll take away some great tips and resources to help you be the best Dad you can be, and you'll strengthen your relationship with your kids at the same time.  It's fun & free!  Hope to see you there! Grandfathers, uncles and friends welcome!
 
If you know a Riverview student whose dad is deployed or works out of town, please reach out to that family and invite that child(ren) to come with you to our event.

Uniform Free Friday
THIS FRIDAY
The last Friday of each month is 'Uniform-Free Friday' and students may pay $5 to dress out of uniform. The money raised on Uniform Free Friday will be in place of monies generated from traditional school-wide fundraisers such as wrapping paper sales, candy bar sales, etc.  

On Uniform-Free Friday, Riverview students may wear any color jeans , capris, shorts, skirts, or skorts. Clothing may not exceed one size larger or smaller than the child and length may not exceed 3 inches above the knee (formerly "fingertip length"). Tops must have sleeves and cover the chest and back. Bottoms must be tasteful and follow all uniform code criteria.  Check the school calendar for dates each month. 

Reminders...
Volunteering at Riverview 
If you have lots of time or a little time, whether off campus or on, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends... it's all valued and important.
Opportunities for volunteering include, but are not limited to: assisting with small group reading in classrooms, chaperoning field trips, assisting with class events, and participating in annual fundraising activities. There are countless ways to become involved!
 
Volunteer Orientations
Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays (starting Sept. 8th)  
Want to be on the approved volunteer list?  Stop by the school for a 15 minute orientation video and paperwork on TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS 10:00 a.m., 11:00am or 12:00 p.m. during the month of September.  If you are unable to make these times, stop by on WEDNESDAYS - at 4:00 p.m.
