I hope you have all had an enjoyable summer and that you are getting excited for the new school year at Riverview. It is my honor to serve as the President of the Riverview Parent Teacher Organization this year, and we are looking forward to events we have planned and the opportunities available for all Riverview families. The PTO will hold its first meeting on Monday, August 18, at 6:00 p.m. in the gym and we encourage everyone to attend. We are excited to share PTO plans for the year and to help families become more involved in actively supporting our teachers and students.
The PTO executive committee will have a table in the Front Lobby at Meet the Teacher on Monday, August 11th from 5:30 - 7:30. We will be selling Riverview t-shirts and will have more information about the PTO. We will kick off a t-shirt design contest for new middle school t-shirts and will have details on how to enter the contest. Please stop by to see us!

The PTO Needs Your Help Next Week!
The PTO is providing a salad lunch for faculty and staff during their work day next Tuesday, August 12, and we need your help! Below is a list of items we are requesting. If you are able to help, please send an email to pto@riverviewcharterschool.org with "Teacher Lunch" in the subject line. In your message, please indicate which item/items you can bring and we will confirm that we have received it. All food items requiring refrigeration should be dropped at Riverview between 10:00 and 11:30 next Tuesday morning. Items that do not require refrigeration may be brought to Meet the Teacher and left in the Front Office.
Items Requested:
20 salads (chicken salad, pasta salad, fruit salad, green salad, etc. - your choice!) to serve 8-10 people each
8 dozen small croissants or rolls
6 sets of 18-24 individual desserts
3 gallons of sweet tea
2 gallons of unsweet tea
3 gallons of lemonade
100 plastic cups
