Finance Committee Survey
- from John Dillon, Finance Committee Member
________________________________________________________

The Finance Committee is looking at a variety of options on reducing the fees incurred with the use of credit cards for fee payments at ABYC.  We value your input and to help us understand the wishes of the membership we would appreciate it if members could spare a few moments to fill out the attached survey.  Setting up direct deposit is not trivial or free; there has to be a significant amount of interest before it would be beneficial for the club. Thank you for your time.

Please take a few minutes and complete the short survey located at the following link:

ABYC's Trees
__________________________________

Dear Members,

The recent high winds have taken their toll; another one of our mature trees along the driveway has had to be removed as it was in real danger of falling down.  We asked Davey Tree to remove the rotten tree safely, which they did on Tuesday.

This is the second of these trees to come down in the past few months.  We would like to replace them and would accept donations for that purpose.  You can contact the office regarding making a donation to purchase replacement trees (416-698-4498).

Thank you

Rennie

Adult Keelboat Program at Boat Show
- from Diane Schulman & Peter Woodall,
Committee Chairs
__________________________________________

We are very pleased to be invited by Humber College to share their space at the boat show to promote our adult keelboat learn-to-sail program.  In our joint program, Humber provides the instructors and we provide the students and the boat.  An introductory Associate Membership at ABYC is included in their class fees!!

We would like to thank the volunteers who are helping us at the Humber College booth:  David Cloutier, Bill Crystal, Michael Dewson, Jean and Stan Gap, Sue Hamilton, Paul Lefneski, Andy Levy, Dave Steenbergen and Ralph Weckesser.

We will be at the show until it closes on Sunday.  Stop by the booth and send your friends to see us for more information on our great learn-to-sail program.

More information is available at:

The Learn-to Sail Open House is on May 9!  We can hardly wait!
Whiskey Tasting,
January 19, 2013
- from Jim Allen
___________________________________________

As part of the Celtic Night Celebrations, we will again be featuring a Single Malt Whiskey Tasting beginning at 6:00 PM.  Once again we will feature 5 unique Whiskies selected by Rennie and Jim.  The price will remain at $30.00 per person, the same as last year.  We hope to see a good turnout of all the ABYC Single Malt Whiskey lovers.
