Photo Op by Patch
With the holiday season upon us, Winchester Patch would like to encourage everyone to shop local by highlighting great gift ideas in Winchester stores. We'd like to do this with simple photo galleries that show off local businesses' gift ideas
If you'd like your store highlighted on Winchester Patch, here's how to do it: - Take 5-10 photos of gifts in your store. No less than 5, no more than 10. These can be taken with a standard camera or a cell phone camera app like Instagram. It would also be great to have a photo of the store owner(s) in the store to include in the gallery!
- Email the photos to winchester@patch.com Include a very brief description of each item and its price, which we'll include in the caption. Be sure we know how to match up the description and price with the proper photos-you can list the filename of the photo and then the description and price next to it.
That's it! We'll let you know when we receive the photos and when the gallery will run. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at winchester@patch.com

President's Message
During this season of gift giving I encourage you to consider giving some of your time and talents to our community. In today's fast-paced digital world
 many of us find ourselves isolated with computers, tablets, smart phones, television or just doing the same work again and again. Great satisfaction and contributions await you as you choose to become engaged in a local arts, athletic, civic, non-profit, or trade organization. Besides the Chamber of Commerce, Winchester has a long list of worthy endeavors from which to choose.
Being a long time member of the Chamber Board of Directors and
my four years as VP and President has been a privilege and a
challenge. I thank all our members for supporting this vital
organization and I have so enjoyed being your leader. That and my 20 years in the retail bookselling business in our beautiful Winchester Center have enriched my life.
I have gained a better understanding and appreciation of the many businesses, organizations, and civic activities around us. So my advice is to get involved with something new and different this coming year - try it, you might like it!

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
I hope that each of you have the opportunity to visit the center of Winchester.
It is like walking into "Winter Wonderland;" Monday evening, as I walked from shop to shop, I could not believe how beautiful our downtown area looked with all the white lights on the trees and in the windows of the shops. The streets were filled with people taking advantage of the Midnite Madness celebration and sales.
Restaurants were alive with many friends shopping and then meeting for dinner. Thanks to many of you for your donation to the Lights of Love fund and Mike Wise and the DPW crew for decorating the trees so magnificently - Winchester Center is the anchor for our community.
The Winchester Chamber of Commerce is proud to once again organize and sponsor the holiday lighting in partnership with Lights of Love, Winchester Home and Garden Club and the Winchester Garden Club.
