CHAMBER NEWS AND EVENTS
It was cold outside Thursday as we celebrated the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting with Romo's Pizzeria & Restaurant, but warm and toasty inside, especially with the fire going in the brick oven. Owners Anthony and Brittany were joined by family, friends, the Romo's Team, Mary Rozak from the Albany County Executive's office, neighboring businesses, and Chamber representatives to celebrate, eat, and toast with champagne! Click here to see the full gallery, or take a look into the dough room below!

It was an informative afternoon at Living Resources for their Workforce Networking Luncheon. Jon Phillips with A. Phillips Hardware was one of the speakers at the event and talked to the crowd about the program and how important workforce development is. If you are looking for an intern to help your business, contact one of the members of their internship team: Bill Lynch, Internship Coordinator or Jen Sanderson, Internship Coordinator. Seniors of the College Experience program participate in two semester-long paid or unpaid internships. These internships assist students in learning specific job skills, evaluating potential career paths and preparing for competitive employment. Interns work 8-10 hours per week for 12-15 weeks per semester. Click here for the full brochure, and view photos from the event here.
