Supervisor John Clarkson will deliver the State of the Town address Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 8am in the auditorium at Town Hall.  Co-sponsored with the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce, continental breakfast is offered starting at 7:45am.  The public is encouraged to attend, this is a free event open to all. Supervisor Clarkson will outline the challenges Bethlehem faces and his priorities for the coming year.

BETHLEHEM ART ASSOCIATION

 
The new exhibition of artwork by members of the Bethlehem Art Association is on display at the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce.  This exhibit includes many nature inspired pieces, including a wintry tree in "Storms Abrewing" (top center) and some peacefully grazing sheep in "Lyman Sheep" (bottom row, second from right).


The show will run through the months of January and February.  Stop in to browse the exhibit, pieces can be purchased by contacting the artist directly.

The Delmar Animal Hospital is looking for your support to provide food for the local feral cat population. Wet food is desired in the winter, but both wet and dry is needed. Cat food can be dropped off at Just Cats Veterinary Clinic in Guilderland (2073 Western Avenue) and will be distributed throughout the Capital District to the dedicated volunteers who feed and provide shelter for our free roaming community cats.

The Town of Bethlehem announced NEW Community Recycling Stations. Visit the Town's 24/7 recycling drop spots for cardboard, mixed paper (including books, magazines, and more) and clothing, textiles and shoes. 1st Location: Municipal lot near Four Corners, and 2nd Location: Elm Ave Park 'n Ride.

On Thursdays between 10 AM and 2 PM, the Town of Bethlehem will be accepting
donations for Habitat ReStore in the Capital District of slightly used furnishings, working appliances, cabinets, and other building materials at the Town of Bethlehem Transfer Station, 136 Rupert Rd, Selkirk, NY. See the Flyer for details.

The Hudson Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC) is seeking applicants for the 2016 CDPHP� Workforce Team Challenge Charity of Choice. The race - the largest between Utica and New York City - will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. In conjunction with the race, HMRRC selects one or more charities of choice, each of which receives a donation from CDPHP, as well as direct contributions from race participants. If your organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides health or human services to communities in the Capital Region, HMRRC invites you to apply. The application deadline is January 11, 2016. The 2016 charity will be selected by January 29. All applications must be completed and submitted electronically via email. Click here for an application form. If your organization is chosen, you are expected to participate in CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge planning meetings, day-of race activities, and post-event media. We look forward to a great race and a successful fundraising effort.
