They raised over $2,500 during the Bells of Life campaign at Crossgates Mall. Money raised goes to the AMC Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit. The program began over 25 years ago when the clubs began raising funds for the Pediatric Trauma Unit at Albany Med, and for the past few years the focus has been the NICU. In addition to Kiwanis Club members, students from the BCMS Helping Hands Club, Albany Academy Builders Club and BCHS Key Club help sell the bells at the mall and at Bethlehem community businesses.

AROUND THE REGION...

The Hudson Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC) is seeking applicants for the 2016 CDPHP® Workforce Team Challenge Charity of Choice. The race - the largest between Utica and New York City - will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. In conjunction with the race, HMRRC selects one or more charities of choice, each of which receives a donation from CDPHP, as well as direct contributions from race participants. If your organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides health or human services to communities in the Capital Region, HMRRC invites you to apply. The application deadline is January 11, 2016. The 2016 charity will be selected by January 29. All applications must be completed and submitted electronically via email. Click here for an application form. If your organization is chosen, you are expected to participate in CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge planning meetings, day-of race activities, and post-event media. We look forward to a great race and a successful fundraising effort.
