31st Annual Traffic Safety Awareness Weekend
At last year's Traffic Safety Event, 97 percent of car seats that were checked were not installed correctly. There will also be a large scale car seat checkup event in the overflow lot on the Western Avenue side of Crossgates Mall on Saturday from 11am to 2 pm to coincide with the national observance of "Seat Check Saturday," sponsored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The focus this weekend is to teach everyone about child passenger safety and traffic safety with emphasis on the dangers of aggressive driving, STOP DWI and more.
