We welcomed Merriman & Pfister's Marketplace to the Four Corners in Delmar on Thursday. The shop features handcrafted unique gifts, jewelry and art at the back of 388 Delaware Avenue. MICROENTERPRISE GRANT  
Applications Available Online

The Town of Bethlehem was successful in its application to the New York State Office of Homes and Community Renewal for the creation of a Microenterprise Grant Program.  The Town will receive $200,000 to provide grants to eligible Microenterprises, emerging, and existing businesses that want to locate in or expand within the Town of Bethlehem.  It is anticipated that a minimum of ten (10) businesses will be assisted with the awarded grant funds.  Grant awards will range from $5,000 to $35,000 and can be used to purchase inventory, machinery, equipment, furniture, fixtures and to meet working capital needs. 
Businesses who are interested in learning more about the Microenterprise Grant Program and the application process but were unable to attend the information sessions, may view the Microenterprise Grant Presentation.

The Cheese Traveler, a cheese and specialty food shop in the DelSo neighborhood of Albany will feature special guest chef Dimitrios Menagias, executive chef of City Beer Hall, for our Friday night cook out August 28, 2015.Chef Dimitrios' menu will feature his signature eclectic mix of gastropub fare. He will use the locally sourced meats and specialty pantry items featured at The Cheese Traveler to create signature dishes for the popular cookout series. Craft beer, cider, wine, and specialty sodas are available to enjoy with meal. Appetizers include monger's choice cheese plate and/or charcuterie plate, buffalo mozzarella caprese salad with 6 year aged basalmic and house-grown heirloom tomatoes and basil. Seating both outdoor and indoor is from 5-8 pm. Outdoor seating in the garden is limited and is on a first come, first served basis. Take out is available, and please allow 20 minutes before arrival. The Stram Center for Integrative Medicine will hold its monthly Lyme Support Group on Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 6 -8pm. Come share your stories, frustrations, achievements and find support and guidance for Lyme Disease. Family and friends are welcome!

On Thursdays between 10 AM and 2 PM, the Town of Bethlehem will be accepting donations for Habitat ReStore in the Capital District of slightly used furnishings, working appliances, cabinets, and other building materials at the Town of Bethlehem Transfer Station, 136 Rupert Rd, Selkirk, NY. Delmar Farmers Market is open Saturdays, 9am-1pm for the season.  Visit over 50 vendors for farm fresh produce, crafts and food stands. At the Bethlehem Middle School, 332 Kenwood Avenue every Saturday through December.

The Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACCVB) is offering a Hospitality Grant Program to support Albany County's hospitality industry by funding programs that will help build and sustain Albany County tourism destinations, attractions, events, and other tourism-related activities. The Fund encourages collaboration between nonprofit organizations, community groups, and hospitality businesses.  The grant is being administered by the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region.
