MICROENTERPRISE GRANT  
Applications Available Online

The Town of Bethlehem was successful in its application to the New York State Office of Homes and Community Renewal for the creation of a Microenterprise Grant Program.  The Town will receive $200,000 to provide grants to eligible Microenterprises, emerging, and existing businesses that want to locate in or expand within the Town of Bethlehem.  It is anticipated that a minimum of ten (10) businesses will be assisted with the awarded grant funds.  Grant awards will range from $5,000 to $35,000 and can be used to purchase inventory, machinery, equipment, furniture, fixtures and to meet working capital needs. 
Businesses who are interested in learning more about the Microenterprise Grant Program and the application process but were unable to attend the information sessions, may view the Microenterprise Grant Presentation.

The Bethlehem Food Pantry collects school supplies for children in the Bethlehem Central, RCS and Guilderland School Districts whose families live in our town and are eligible to use a local food pantry. Check online for a list of needed supplies. Monetary donations accepted. Please make checks payable to Bethlehem Senior Projects, Inc. and reference School Supplies in the memo. Donations may be brought Monday through Friday before August 14 to the town Senior Services department or the Bethlehem Area YMCA, 900 Delaware Avenue, Delmar. History Paddle, Saturday, August 22 9-10am. Meet at the Henry Hudson Park boat launch. Learn about Bethlehem's historic river connections from the unique perspective of actually being on the water. Experience the historic Nicoll-Sill House, Winne's dock, Parda Hook and, if the creek is passable, the waterfall on the Vlomankill. Participants MUST bring all of their own gear and be proficient paddlers. Town Historian Susan Leath will provide the history information but is not a boating instructor. High tide is predicted for 9:43am. Questions can be directed to Susan Leath.

On Thursdays between 10 AM and 2 PM, the Town of Bethlehem will be accepting donations for Habitat ReStore in the Capital District of slightly used furnishings, working appliances, cabinets, and other building materials at the Town of Bethlehem Transfer Station, 136 Rupert Rd, Selkirk, NY. The
Delmar Farmers Market is open Saturdays, 9am-1pm for the season.  Visit over 50 vendors for farm fresh produce, crafts and food stands. At the Bethlehem Middle School, 332 Kenwood Avenue every Saturday through December.

The Capital Region's Upstate Revitalization Initiative (URI) Advisory Council invites Capital Region residents to participate in the development of a transformational plan for the region by attending one or more of the town hall meetings listed below. The URI Advisory Council, in conjunction with the Capital Region Economic Development Council (CREDC), is competing for $500 million in economic development investments that will be awarded by the State. Help the Advisory Council develop the most comprehensive transformative plan for our region as possible.
