MICROENTERPRISE GRANT  
Applications Available Online

The Town of Bethlehem was successful in its application to the New York State Office of Homes and Community Renewal for the creation of a Microenterprise Grant Program.  The Town will receive $200,000 to provide grants to eligible Microenterprises, emerging, and existing businesses that want to locate in or expand within the Town of Bethlehem.  It is anticipated that a minimum of ten (10) businesses will be assisted with the awarded grant funds.  Grant awards will range from $5,000 to $35,000 and can be used to purchase inventory, machinery, equipment, furniture, fixtures and to meet working capital needs. 
Businesses who are interested in learning more about the Microenterprise Grant Program and the application process but were unable to attend the information sessions, may view the Microenterprise Grant Presentation.

Bethlehem Art Association Spring Exhibit!

The Bethlehem YMCA will host Healthy Kids Day on Saturday April 25th from 10:00-1:00pm in the Arena!  This event helps kick off the summer season while promoting healthy living and getting active!  We will have 3 bounce houses, music, vendors, food, hockey, soccer, basketball and so much more! Come attend our information session, and learn how the Weekend MBA Program can power up your career. TO LIFE! Celebrates the Women in our Lives

17th Annual Gala on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Franklin Plaza in Troy. Featuring a culinary extravaganza,
silent auction, wine pull, and music by the Steve Berger Ensemble, the evening celebrates breast cancer survivors and the community that so lovingly supports each and every survivor. Gala co-chairs, Penny LaRocque and Joanne Riddett, are quick to point out "The gala has always been a joyous way to honor our breast cancer survivors, anyone in any stage of treatment.  It's yet another way To Life!'s outreach to those who need us truly works."  Tickets for the Gala can be obtained by contacting the To Life! office (518) 439-5975 or by registering online. Tickets are $50.00 in advance or $55.00 at the door.  Proceeds from the event stay local to provide educational programs and support services for women and families dealing with breast cancer.

 

Colonial Acres Golf Club will offer a Bethlehem Chamber Business to Business Spring/Summer League beginning on May 18th. There will 2-player teams with a Point style format, this will be a fun league with a great way to network with other members. Men and women are encouraged to join. The cost is $199 per player. The Town of Bethlehem will host several Community Town Hall Meetings in the coming months.  Community town hall meetings are an opportunity for citizens to speak directly with town-wide officials and discuss town issues and specific community concerns. They are scheduled in neighborhood centers throughout the town. An agenda is set around initiatives and concerns specific to the area. Citizens are also welcome to provide open comment on other issues of concern to town residents and leaders.  Come to share your views with Supervisor Clarkson, Town Board members, and other town officials. Community Town Halls scheduled for this Spring:  Glenmont/Selkirk May 14 (Thu) 7pm at Glenmont School, 328 Route 9W

The Bethlehem Public Library recently updated its Library Catalog. Log in to your account and take a look around! We've even scheduled some demonstrations of the updated system in April to help you get acquainted with all it has to offer.Demonstrations will be held on Monday, April 27 at 2pm.

Ben's Jammin" Treasures will hold a Soul-er Power Painting class on Thursdays from 6:30-9:30 pm. Learn how to paint with chalk, clay and mineral paint. Thursday evening classes are a casual class of relaxing, connecting and creating. Bring in a small piece of furniture to paint. This piece should be small enough for you to carry alone, and fit in the passenger seat of your car. (small table, stool, chair, lamp) 
In this class you will learn the basics of painting with clay, chalk and mineral paint. Learn how to mix colors, different brush strokes. 2 color paint technique, distressing, and what is the best finish for your piece and how to apply it. For more info click here

Selkirk Fire Department's Annual Open House and RecruitNY event will be held on Sunday, April 26 from 12-4pm.  The event will feature all 3 of Selkirk's Fire Companies. Located behind our Glenmont Road station, prepare for an afternoon of fun! There will be a display of the various department apparatus and a short demonstration of each truck. There will be food and bounce-house. 

Tuesday Delmar Farmers' Market,
