17th Annual Gala on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Franklin Plaza in Troy. Featuring a culinary extravaganza,
silent auction, wine pull, and music by the Steve Berger Ensemble, the evening celebrates breast cancer survivors and the community that so lovingly supports each and every survivor. Gala co-chairs, Penny LaRocque and Joanne Riddett, are quick to point out "The gala has always been a joyous way to honor our breast cancer survivors, anyone in any stage of treatment. It's yet another way To Life!'s outreach to those who need us truly works." Tickets for the Gala can be obtained by contacting the To Life! office (518) 439-5975 or by registering online. Tickets are $50.00 in advance or $55.00 at the door. Proceeds from the event stay local to provide educational programs and support services for women and families dealing with breast cancer.
Colonial Acres Golf Club will offer a Bethlehem Chamber Business to Business Spring/Summer League beginning on May 18th. There will 2-player teams with a Point style format, this will be a fun league with a great way to network with other members. Men and women are encouraged to join. The cost is $199 per player. The Town of Bethlehem will host several Community Town Hall Meetings in the coming months. Community town hall meetings are an opportunity for citizens to speak directly with town-wide officials and discuss town issues and specific community concerns. They are scheduled in neighborhood centers throughout the town. An agenda is set around initiatives and concerns specific to the area. Citizens are also welcome to provide open comment on other issues of concern to town residents and leaders. Come to share your views with Supervisor Clarkson, Town Board members, and other town officials. This piece should be small enough for you to carry alone, and fit in the passenger seat of your car. Selkirk Fire Department's Annual Open House and RecruitNY event will be held on Sunday, April 26 from 12-4pm. The event will feature all 3 of Selkirk's Fire Companies. Located behind our Glenmont Road station, prepare for an afternoon of fun! There will be a display of the various department apparatus and a short demonstration of each truck. There will be food and bounce-house.
