The Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce will begin to feature artwork by the members of the Bethlehem Art Association at the Chamber office, located in Main Square Shoppes, 318 Delaware Avenue in Delmar. Ten members of the BAA will have their work on display during January and February. This will be the first of a series of revolving art shows. Every two months there will be a new show featuring up to 12 local artists. The Chamber invites the community to stop into the office, weekdays 9am-5pm to view the exhibit and support our local artist community. The Bethlehem Art Association was formed in 1966 to serve as a focal point for art activities in Bethlehem. To learn more about the BAA, visit their website here.

 The Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Energy Partner Consultants to offer our members the opportunity to receive competitive pricing on gas and electric service through volume purchasing. EPC will analyze your commercial usage for free and provide options to decrease these costs from 5% to 20%. They will also conduct a free energy efficiency assessment to determine if your business qualifies for a variety of credits and incentives being offered by any federal, state or local agency, National Grid (or other utility) or NYISO (or any other grid system operator). EPC's consulting fee is waived for all members of the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce, regardless of consumption profile. The Stram Center for Integrative Health in Delmar will hold their next Lyme Disease Support Group on Tuesday, January 14th from 6-8pm at their 388 Kenwood Avenue center. Gregory's Barbershop in Delmar will hold their 5th Annual Haircut-A-Thon to benefit Coaches vs. Cancer on Sunday January 19th at from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will offer haircuts and shaves for a $20 donation. 100% of the proceeds will be donated. 8 barbers will donate their time to cut hair for the event. CDPHP is pleased to announce the opening of the all new CDPHP Service Center - Latham, a health plan resource center conveniently located inside the Capital Region Health Park at 711 Troy-Schenectady Road. The Center, which is open Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, provides on-site answers to health care questions and assistance navigating the Affordable Care Act and the NY State of Health website. Visitors can meet face-to-face with a CDPHP representative, order new ID cards, ask questions about their benefits, find a doctor, schedule an appointment, and purchase health care coverage.
Grille One Six Five at Normanside Country Club in Delmar is hosting Parties with Chef: Bountiful Brunch Cooking Class on Thursday, January 30th 6:30-9:30pm. This four course meal is paired with wines and each course is demonstrated in front of you. Each guest will receive a goodie bag with food related gifts and a booklet with the recipes you learned during the evening. The Town of Bethlehem Parks and Recreation's 2014 Winter / Spring Activity Registration is now open for both residents and nonresidents, on a first come first served basis. Registration can be submitted either through our online registration process, in person or over the phone. The 2014 winter/spring Park Playbook is available thru the town web site.
The Albany Figure Skating Club will offer Winter ice sessions beginning on Thursday, January 2, 2014 and will running through March 15, 2014 at the Bethlehem YMCA in Delmar. Skaters should have some prior figure skating experience, and must be at least 8 years old, at the USFS Basic 4 level or above, or skating in a lesson with a coach. Both package rates and hourly buy-on rates are available.
