The Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy is looking for business vendors for their 2nd Annual Fairy Tales and Fireflies: Summer Solstice on the Hudson Mohawk Rail Trail, Thursday, June 20th from 6:30-9:30pm. The event is along the Rail Trail from Delmar to Slingerlands and will drawn 400 attendees and feature storytelling, kids crafts, food and music. For additional details and to participate see flyer. The Albany Figure Skating Club's medal-winning Achilles Edge Synchronized Skating Team will hold two events designed to introduce area figure skaters to the exciting sport of synchronized skating. There will be a free Synchro Clinic on Wednesday, April 24th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, which will focus on synchro skills, and an Open House on Sunday, May 5th from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, which will give skaters the opportunity to skate with current team members. Both events are free for participants, and will be held at the Albany County Hockey Facility (830 Albany-Shaker Rd., Albany). Interested figure skaters of all ages and abilities are welcome. Bethlehem Democratic Party Jefferson Jackson Reception will be held on Thursday, April 25 at Normanside Country Club from 5:00 - 7:30 pm. Join us for food, drinks and Wally at the piano while you mingle with your Democratic Committee and elected officials. Suggested contribution is $75. RSVP to info@bethlehemdems.org. Vote on the Highway/DPW Referendum Tuesday, April 30 from 6 am - 9 pm at the Bethlehem Town Hall, 445 Delaware Ave, Delmar. A referendum will go to the voters on abolishing the elective office of the highway superintendent, with the responsibility taken over by the Commissioner of Public Works.
