Our Classical Guitar Ensemble Series continues on June 14 at 8 pm with a performance by Black Cedar Trio. With Steve Lin on guitar, Kris Palmer on wood flute, and Nancy Kim on cello, Black Cedar Trio applies their unique mix to a wide repertoire, including Renaissance love songs and dances, Baroque trio sonatas, Appalachian folk songs, and world premieres by living composers.
And, mark your calendars for Matthew Grasso's 7 String Guitar Celebration, July 7!
Tickets - $5 twelve and under, $10 students and seniors, $15 general admission.

Art in Action. Creativity in Motion
This year's Discovery Art Exhibit, opening July 13, is all about
MOMENTUM! We'll explore creativity, physics, and all things that move us. Wheels, tops, balls, bikes, rockets, and roller coasters will inspire you and get your creative juices flowing. We're planning a new Off-the-Grid collaborative mural, sculptures with moving parts, a Bicycle Arts Festival in downtown Davis and much more!

 Dust off that lonely guitar and Strum-Along at the Davis Art Center! Ages 12+, all abilities welcome. Chord sheets and basic instruction 6-7pm for guitar and ukulele.
Then, drop in on the All-levels Jam 7-9pm. Bring your music stand if you have one, drinks and refreshments provided, $10 suggested donation.
First Friday of each month, 6/7, 7/5, and 8/2.

Check out these new summer classes!
Yoganatomy is a gentle Iyengar-based yoga class infused with a passion for anatomy. Karen Gettelman leads this class which has an emphasis on alignment and movement visualization that develops body awareness to carry outside the studio and into life. It is tailored to people looking for a stress-free basic practice, and is welcoming to those starting to venture into yoga. (Wednesdays, 6/12-8/28, 12:30-2pm, 236001)
Capoeira is unique Brazilian art form, combining dance, music, percussion, martial arts, and gymnastics. Vinicius Oliveira (Master Axe) leads this exhilarating practice which builds strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and self-esteem. All levels welcome, no experience necessary, classes for ages 6-12 and 13+. (Thursdays, 3-4 pm, 7-8:30pm, 214406, 234406)
