Take a break from the Junk 2 Genius festivities for a last look at the  fabulous collaborative art projects created during our inaugural Discovery Art program. We are looking for a home for the beautiful murals

Looking for a part-time job?
DAC is looking for a capable individual to provide customer service approximately 24 hrs/wk. Must be able to learn the class registration database system and new software as needed. Junk2Genius, Friday, 9/14, 5-9 pm 
Join us for the 4th annual Junk2Genius sculpture competition as 9 teams vie for the coveted Trophy du Trash! Judges Michele Burr Thelma Weatherford, and Dan Wolk will select the winner, while spectators vote for the People's Choice Award. Free Junk 2 Genius Garden activity for kids; music from the KDVS Mobile DJ Unit, food and drink for purchase from local vendors including Guadalajara, Steve's Pizza, Stone Soup Hawaiian Shave Ice, Sudwerk Brewery, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, and Francis Ford Coppola Winery. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR JUNK 2 GENIUS
We need volunteers to help with the Junk 2 Genius kids' activity and with set-up and take-down, as well as to take shifts serving food and drinks throughout the event (high schoolers welcome; over 21 only for bar duty). All volunteers get a voucher for a free drink and a free slice of pizza, plus a DAC T-shirt while supplies last! Click HERE to sign up online for any empty slot. DAC Sponsors Sacramento Ballet in Davis 
Ballet at DAC, under the direction of Hanneke Lohse, is one of our strongest programs. Now we are collaborating with the Sacramento Ballet to bring two exciting performances to Davis' Richard Brunelle Performance Hall later this month. Proceeds benefit both DAC and Sacramento Ballet.
 
Friday, September 28, 7 pm.  Tickets online $15 
Reception after the performance to meet the artists, hosted by DAC 
Saturday, September 29, 1 pm. Tickets online $20 adult/$10 child
