Los Gatos Library - Local History Volunteers Wanted 
The Los Gatos Library is currently seeking new volunteers for the local history project. Community members with a strong grasp of Los Gatos history, a willingness to connect with community members, a strong technological background, and/or a few extra hours to share each week are being sought to enrich and enliven programs and to continue to digitize and enhance Los Gatos' online historical collections. September 12th, 9am   Pose 4 A Purpose will be having their Outdoor Yoga Festival at Vasona Lake Park. This is an event that brings together yoga practitioners and teachers in a fun way to raise money for programs at Cancer CAREpoint. Visit here to register. 

September 12th, 5:30pm - 10pm The Los Gatos Morning Rotary Club, in partnership with C.B. Hannegan's Irish Pub, is presenting the 11th annual Claws for a Cause fundraiser. Los Gatos' only Lobster Block Party features all you can eat fresh lobster flown in from Maine, an array of salads, chowder, Tri-tip and more. Once you've had enough to eat, sit back and enjoy love music and dancing to the Hitmen! Bring the summer to an early close by supporting this amazing event... September 24th, 6pm - 9pm   Byington Winery invites you to the Winemaker Dinner. Sit down for a romantic evening in our Wine Cave, 40 feet below ground. Our Winemaker Andrew Brenkwitz will be sampling some of our latest vintages directly from oak barrels. This special evening includes a luxury five-course gourmet dinner catered by well-known authentic Italian restaurant Il Fornaio. Seats are limited! RSVP here

September 25th, 6:30pm   The Town of Los Gatos & Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad invites you to Screen on the Green at Oak Meadow Park. Please join us at Oak Meadow Park for an evening of family fun. The featured film, Frozen, will be shown on a 25' inflatable movie screen. Children's activities will begin at 6:30 p.m., and showtime is 7:30 p.m. For your enjoyment during the film, bring flashlights, blankets and low back chairs.

September 19th, 5pm - 9pm   Santa Clara County Farm Bureau will be having their 3rd Annual Farm to Table event at Uesugi Farms Pumpkin Park. This event is a way to showcase all that Santa Clara County offers. For more information, email info@sccfarmbureau.org or call (408) 776-1684. 

September 26th, 10am - 2pm Los Gatos CASA (Community Against Substance Abuse) is having a Prescription Drop-Off event. Turn in your unused or expired medication for sage disposal. Bring glass thermometers to exchange for a digital solar thermometer. They are also accepting household batteries, cell phones, and eyeglasses for recycling. This event takes place at the LG Parks & Public Works Service Center at 41 Miles Ave, Los Gatos. 

September 26th, 10am - 4pm   Cañada College Fashion Department is hosting its annual "Artistry in Fashion" non-profit event. This shopping extravaganza features dozens of designers selling clothing, jewelry, and other fashions. October 9th - 11th    Camp Erin is a FREE, weekend long bereavement camp for children and teens ages 6-17 who are grieving the death of someone close to them. Camp Erin combines traditional, fun camp activities - like archery, swimming, ropes courses, and arts & crafts - with grief education and emotional support. Camp Erin makes a profound difference in the lives of grieving children by increasing levels of hope, enhancing self-esteem, and by providing positive coping skills.  Alex Hult              

 

   Alex is our incoming President and owner of Hult's Restaurant. He is a former pro 
   hockey player from Sweden.  Alex works with local growers to obtain fresh ingredients
   to create amazing food. Hult's specializes in "farm-to-table" cuisine and recently 
   started serving lunch. Come check out Hult's new outdoor patio!

   Cleve is the owner of the Painting Pros, Inc. and Rocks Blow Dry Bar
   The Painting Pros specializes in high-quality residential and commercial painting. 
   They have earned the "Diamond Certified" rating for the last 8 consecutive years. 
   Cleve also plays in a Rock and Roll Band named Rusty

 

 Dave Hernandez              

 

   Dave is the owner of Los Gatos Auto ServiceHe always knew he wanted to work 
   on cars. He started wrenching right out of high school and has pursued his dream 
   of owning and running his own automotive repair shop ever since.

 

 David Guercio   

 

   David is a Realtor at Alain Pinel Realtors in Saratoga. He had a successful 35-year
   career in the high tech industry. David and his wife, Mary, are the owners of Out of the 
   Envelope, in Los Gatos, which Mary operates. 
 Janice McCabe      

 

   Janice is an owner and designer at Janice McCabe Interior Design. She specializes in 
   residential design and remodeling, hospitality design, professional offices, and retail 
   design. Janice is a member of the Los Gatos Lions Club. 

 

 Jason Bogan          

 

   Jason is the General Manager of the Toll House Hotel. Born and raised on the Gulf 
   Coast of Florida and a proud graduate of Florida State University, Jason has worked 
   exclusively in the hospitality industry since turning 16.
 Joe Pirzynski

   Joe is a three-term former Mayor of Los Gatos and served as an elected member of the 
   Los Gatos Town Council for over 17 years. Joe's professional background includes 
   almost forty years as a teacher, counselor, administrator, an instructor in graduate 
   university programs, and 30 years as a Marriage & Family Therapist in private practice.

 

 Joe Sweeney             

 

   Joe is a shareholder at Sweeney, Mason, Wilson & Bosomworth. He graduated from 
   the University of Notre Dame with a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis 
   in Accounting in 1974, and graduated Magna Cum Laude as a member of the 
   McAuliffe Honor Society from the University of San Francisco School of Law.

 

 Joey McCarthy, Jr.              

 

   Joey is a co-founder and principal of McCarthy Land Company. Joey's primary 
   responsibility at McCarthy Land Company is to direct the company's development
   operations and assist in the acquisition and entitlement of properties.

 

 Joseph Anthony Gonzales              
 
   Joseph Anthony is the Vice President at Ovca Associates, Inc., a Retained Executive 
   Search Firm. He is a high performing and energetic thought leader in retained-search, 
   full-cycle recruitment operations, talent management, executive development 
   programs, and board facilitation.
 
 Pat Wolfram              

 

   Pat is Vice President of El Camino Hospital Los Gatos and has 30 years of health
   care experience in both executive and consulting roles at for-profit and not-for-profit
   hospitals ranging in size from 100 beds to 459 beds. Pat  earned a Master's degree in 
   Business Administration and Adult Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

 

 Patti Rice              

 

   Patti has served three terms as President of the Board of Directors. She is the owner
   of The Spa Los Gatos and co-owner of Regale Winery. In addition, Patti is a member of 
   Los Gatos Morning Rotary and enjoys supporting health-minded programs. Never

 Peggy Gibbs              
 
   Peggy oversees financial operations, business development partnerships, early 
   stage funding and business planning for Scientia Schools, a national private high 
   school social enterprise and BizSmart Global and BizSmart Global India. In addition, 
   Peggy is co-founder of Camp BizSmart - a nonprofit summer business skills academy.
 
 Rich Tancredi    

 

   Rich is the publisher of Los Gatos Magazine. Los Gatos Magazine is a quality town-      
   and-lifestyle magazine produced by professionals who live and breathe Los Gatos and 
   Silicon Valley.
 Trevor Schwartz              

 

   Trevor is the Senior Vice President of Investments at Raymond James. He is dedicated 
   to the success of his clients through quality planning and thoughtful advice. He 
   assists clients in mapping action plans designed so they may reach their financial
   goals. In addition, Trevor is a member of Los Gatos Morning Rotary.
