Applications are now being accepted for Leadership Los Gatos 2015-2016

Leadership Los Gatos is a program for people of all backgrounds and interests who wish to become more involved in the community. Its mission is to engage, educate, and develop service-oriented individuals who live and/or work in Los Gatos for leadership roles in community and neighborhood organizations, schools, places of worship, and Town Government. Applications are now being accepted by the Los Gatos Chamber. Deadline is on August 28th, 2015. Please fill out the application on www.losgatoschamber.com or contact our office at 408-354-9300.
Leadership Los Gatos Matching Scholarship

Los Gatos Library - Local History Volunteers Wanted |
The Los Gatos Library is currently seeking new volunteers for the local history project. Community members with a strong grasp of Los Gatos history, a willingness to connect with community members, a strong technological background, and/or a few extra hours to share each week are being sought to enrich and enliven programs and to continue to digitize and enhance Los Gatos' online historical collections. If you're staying home for Labor Day Weekend, why not plan your end of summer with a day at the park enjoying family and friends. Take a ride on the train or carousel at Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad , even enjoy bar-b-que at their concession stand. September 24th, 6pm - 9pm Byington Winery invites you to the Winemaker Dinner. Sit down for a romantic evening in our Wine Cave, 40 feet below ground. Our Winemaker Andrew Brenkwitz will be sampling some of our latest vintages directly from oak barrels. September 25th, 6:30pm The Town of Los Gatos & Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad invites you to Screen on the Green at Oak Meadow Park. Please join us at Oak Meadow Park for an evening of family fun. The featured film, Frozen, will be shown on a 25' inflatable movie screen. September 26th, 10am - 2pm Los Gatos CASA (Community Against Substance Abuse) is having a Prescription Drop-Off event. Turn in your unused or expired medication for sage disposal. Bring glass thermometers to exchange for a digital solar thermometer. They are also accepting household batteries, cell phones, and eyeglasses for recycling. This event takes place at the LG Parks & Public Works Service Center at 41 Miles Ave, Los Gatos.
September 26th, 10am - 4pm Cañada College Fashion Department is hosting its annual "Artistry in Fashion" non-profit event. This shopping extravaganza features dozens of designers selling clothing, jewelry, and other fashions. On-site food vendors and free parking are available.
