Greetings!

Cody Dahl was born April 7, 1962 at Calgary General Hospital and had lost his health by age 30 and was "Divinely" Restored by 40, now over 50 with his BEST HEALTH EVER is planning to add more natural children to his young family (so he can continue to support his family in the "rat race, err, fast pace city") and has something to CONFESS:

I have been pursuing truth and how to get healthy for twenty years now and this has given me the opportunity to meet some really good people that know what it takes to improve their health. I have noticed that newcomers come to Calgary with good health to then lose it over time and now need to learn to go further. My talented wife Tonya will explain..."

We have a great line up of speakers for an event on Sunday, October 14, 2012 called Get Calgary Healthy. Dr. William Davis wrote the #1 New York Times bestseller Wheatbelly, Joel Salatin who is a famous sustainable/integrated farmer wrote You Can Farm and Folks This Aint Normal, was just featured on QR770 addressing the E.Coli issues in Calgary, why it's not normal and how we can prevent it. We also have Dr. Andrew Saul who wrote Doctor Yourself and featured in the documentary movie Food Matters along with our other speaker, Raw Food Expert David Wolfe who has written numerous books including Eating for Beauty and Chaga: King of the Medicinal Mushrooms. Food Philosopher & Nutritional Strategist Sherry Strong will speak and will connect Calgarians to our 30+ local farmers, permaculture experts, and other local conservative talent to really move Calgarian's Health forward!

We think talking to Dr. William Davis about the dangers of wheat, and Calgarians living in the Wheatbelt would be a great topic, or Dr. Andrew Saul and his information on high dose supplementation and how that compares to the new supplement regulations in Canada, or how does one get more raw foods into our diet living in cold Calgary with David Wolfe? The E. Coli issues is still a hot topic and what we are doing to our farm lands and how people can participate in more farming, permaculture gardening and more local farms in a much needed educational topic as well. To have 5 major speakers here in Calgary at one time for such big topics about health, nutrition, environment and supplementation is a blessing. Thank you.

"I want to say THANK YOU Jesus/Yeshua for helping me realize what is really important. What good is it to earn money if you cannot enjoy life due to poor health? We desire all Calgarians access to good health knowledge and resources.

GET CALGARY HEALTHY
SUNDAY October 14, 2012

10 am Opening Ceremony- MLA Rick Fraser

10:15 am to 11:15 am - Joel Salatin

Folks, This Ain't Normal, You Can Farm

Based on his book by the same title, this whimsical performance is filled with history, satire, and prophecy. While most Americans seem to think our techno-glitzy disconnected celebrity-worshipping culture will be the first to sail off into a Star Trek future unencumbered by ecological umbilicals, Salatin bets that the future will instead incorporate more tried and true realities from the past.

Ours is the first culture with no chores for children, cheap energy, heavy mechanization, computers, supermarkets, TV dinners and unpronounceable food. Although he doesn't believe that we will return to horses and buggies, wash boards, and hoop skirts, Salatin believes we will go back in order to go forward, using technology to re-establish historical normalcy.

That normalcy will include edible landscapes, domestic larders, pastured livestock, solar driven carbon cycling for fertility, and a visceral relationship with life's fundamentals: food, energy, water, air, soil, fabric, shelter. We may as well get started enthusiastically than be dragged reluctantly into this more normal existence. Rather than being an abstract, cerebral, academic look at ecology, food systems, and soil development, this talk is based firmly on a lifetime spent communing with ecology, economics, and emotion in their full reality, as a farmer.

Both sobering and inspiring, this performance empowers people to tackle the seemingly impossibly large tasks that confront our generation. Historical contexts create jump-off points for the future-a future as bright as our imagination and as sure as the past.

4:15 pm to 5 pm - Dr. William Davis

Wheat: The Un-Healthy Whole Grain

We are advised by dietitians and other "official" providers of dietary advice to cut fat and cholesterol and eat more "healthy whole grains." What they do not tell you is that the wheat of today is nothing like the wheat of 40 or 50 years ago.

Modern wheat is a high-yield strain created by geneticists during the 1960s and 1970s. Rather than the 4 1/2-foot tall "amber waves of grain" we all remember, modern wheat is a dwarf variant that stands 2 feet tall. But outward appearances are only the beginning. There have been extensive genetic and biochemical changes introduced into this plant.

The problem: No questions asked about the suitability of high-yield dwarf strains of wheat for human consumption.

The result: An incredible range of human illness from obesity, to diabetes, to joint pain and acid reflux.

Dr. Davis will discuss how and why this peculiar situation was allowed to occur and how we can all take control over weight and health by eliminating it from the diet.

5 pm to 6 pm - Andrew W. Saul, Ph.D.

High-Dose Vitamin Therapy for Major Diseases

High doses of vitamins have been known to cure serious illnesses for 70 years. Chest specialist Frederick Klenner, M.D., was curing multiple sclerosis and polio back in the 1940s. William Kaufman, M.D., cured arthritis, also in the 1940s. In the 1950s, Drs. Wilfrid and Evan Shute were curing various forms of cardiovascular disease with vitamin E, and psychiatrist Dr. Abram Hoffer was using niacin to cure schizophrenia, psychosis, and depression. In the 1960s, Robert Cathcart, M.D. cured influenza, pneumonia and hepatitis. In the 1970s, Hugh D. Riordan, M.D., was obtaining cures of cancer with intravenous vitamin C. All of these doctors used very high doses. And, all these doctors reported great patient safety. If your doctor is not treating you primarily with nutrition, you have the wrong doctor.

If the word "cure" intrigues you, this presentation will also. Andrew W. Saul is going to discuss which nutrients can be used in place of drug treatment, with dosage specifics and case stories of how this approach has worked so well for so many. The speaker, who is not a physician, has over 35 years' experience as a medical educator. Dr. Saul has published more than 170 peer-reviewed papers, has written a dozen books, and yet has no financial connection whatsoever to the health products industry. Come and learn the real story about how vitamins cure disease inexpensively, safely and effectively.
