Washington Defense Partnership

The Washington Defense Partnership held its spring/summer meeting on Tuesday, June 4th.  The day began at Coast Guard Base Seattle with a briefing from CAPT Scott Ferguson and visits to the Joint Harbor Operations Center and the Cooperative Vessel Traffic Service.  The Coast Guard portion of the day wrapped up with a tour of CGC Midgett.

Following the visit with the Coast Guard, participants returned to PSRC for a business meeting chaired by Carol Evanoff, retired Regional Director of Lockheed Martin.  Discussions centered around what was happening at a federal level with updates from the staffs of Senator Parry Murray and Representatives Del Bene, Larsen, Kilmer, McDermott, Smith and Heck.  The group determined that the fall meeting should focus on discussing legislative issues affecting the military on both a federal and state level.
