The Transportation Policy Board approved the membership of the 2013 Transportation Alternatives Program Ad Hoc Citizens Advisory Committee.
Sixteen individuals were appointed to the advisory committee, which will provide expertise and input to PSRC's competitive process to select projects for Transportation Alternatives funding.
The Transportation Alternatives program provides federal funding for non-traditional transportation projects, including bicycle and pedestrian projects, historic preservation, and environmental mitigation. Watch the discussion.

The Transportation Policy Board recommended creating a non-voting seat on the Transportation Policy Board for the Transportation Operators Committee.
The intent is to facilitate communication between the Policy Board and the Transportation Operators Committee on transit coordination, funding, and other related issues.

The Transportation Policy Board recommended approval of 21 projects totaling $24 million to receive federal transportation funding.
These projects are ready to go, and will ensure the region meets an August 1st deadline for using funding allocated to the region from the Federal Highway Administration. View the list of projects and presentation.

The Transportation Policy Board heard a presentation on the Transportation 2040 update.
The board discussed three elements of the plan update: Greenhouse Gas Strategy, State of Good Repair Investment Need, and Prioritization. View the presentation.

In other business, the Transportation Policy Board:
- Recommended adoption of a routine amendment to the 2013-2016 Regional Transportation Improvement Program for 23 projects around the region.
- Received information on the list of projects awarded $6.5 million in special needs funding as part of PSRC's 2012-2013 Coordinated Grant Program.
- Received information on the Industrial Lands Analysis that will be conducted in 2014.
