The Executive Board adopted regional transportation recommendations for the 2013 state legislature
PSRC recommends that the Legislature move forward in 2013 with a balanced and fair transportation revenue package which sustains and grows regional transit service throughout the region, sustains the operations of Washington State Ferries, preserves and improves local roadways, makes significant progress in controlling storm water runoff from state and local roadways, and improves the region's economy by funding priority investments on state highways and local roadways. The Executive Board approved the Special Needs Transportation Program of Projects.
The Program of Projects is a prioritized list of 35 transportation projects that will improve mobility for people with low income, elderly, and persons with disabilities. These projects will become eligible to receive funding through PSRC's Coordinated Grant Program and the Washington State Department of Transportation's Consolidated Grant Program. PSRC currently has nearly $4 million available for these projects. Projects that do not receive funding from either PSRC or WSDOT will be on a contingency list should any future funding become available. View the presentation.
