* NEW - 3TC - Third Tuesday Conversations begin again in September. Join Meredith Gould as she shares information and ideas from her book - The Social Media Gospel. 3TC's are a project of the ELCA Youth Ministry Network. September 17th at 2pm.

* NEW - Rachel Kurtz in concert at First, Greensboro. Rachel and her band will be touring our region this fall and will make a North Carolina stop in Greensboro. Mark your calendar - November 9th at 6pm and we'll have more information coming soon. We'll be looking for a choir to join Rachel. SO, if you have singers in your group who would be willing to come to Greensboro earlier that day, watch here for more details.

* LYO Theme 2014 - "Joyfully Learning Together - The Secret of My Success." Join us February 21-23, 2014 for our annual youth gathering for 6-12th graders. Rachel Kurtz and Agape will be serving with us as our musicians. We anticipate a HUGE crowd and so...

New this year - staggered registration. We no longer vote for the LYO Board so we no longer need delegates. We are, however, working with space limitations so the 2013 LYO Board has set a limit on initial registrations from one congregation of 10% or 35 people. After a set date, additional registrations are possible but we want all congregations to have the opportunity to send a few folks. Please email Tammy if you have questions. 

* Ministry Mondays with Tammy - For five weeks this fall I'm trying something new. Each Monday evening, grab a friend or two or your entire Faith Formation team and join me online for a discussion on various topics. I'm working on a few ideas now but I'd really love to hear what is bubbling up in your context. What would you like to hear more about or what issue is your congregation struggling with at the moment? Let me know and it could be the topic of the week. 

* 52 Bible character tweets started Monday, July 1st. You can follow on Twitter or simply find the twitter feed on the website. (Box just under the calendar) So far... Nathan/David and Mordecai. Share your "teach me the story of ____ so that I can ____" and we'll add it to the list.

* August 25th at 4:30pm. Rachel Kurtz will be performing at St. John's, Salisbury with a little help from her new friends from that congregation. Mark your calendars now.
