Among my prayer concerns and joys...

* College students finishing the year

* Y&F folks preparing for summer adventures

* Students worrying about the end of the semester

* Thankful for music in our schools

* Those who serve on our behalf as YAGMs (Young Adults in Global Mission) especially Josh and Kate.

Always New ELCA 25th Anniversary

* NEW - Looking for ideas to celebrate your volunteers? Check out the NC Synod Y&F Ministry Pinterest board dedicated to just that. Watch for more boards in the coming weeks. Enjoy.

* NEW - Becoming a better blogger - I'm trying... Check out my new way of highlighting resources AND sharing great ideas. John Roberto calls it curating. I'm calling it a new way of doing ministry.

* 2013 NC Synod Assembly happens May 31-June 1st at Lenoir-Rhyne University. Let's lower the average age of this event!!! Bring your youth or young adults. You can have an additional voting member if they are a youth or young adult. PLUS, it's much more fun when they are present and having a voice in all that we do. Early registration ends April 23rd so don't miss the discount. We have two young adults serving as our chaplains - Daniel Locke and Sarah Embry. Join us!

* On our website we have the opportunity to include pictures (slides really that change) on the homepage. I'd love to have pictures of your trips, events, etc. Email me with a 1-2 paragraph description and see your group on the www.lutheranyouth.org homepage.

"God's work, our hands"  - ELCA Malaria Campaign
We are a church that believes God is calling us into the world - together.

Thank you!

World Malaria Day is over, but your impact is not. We're still counting the total number of generous gifts that came in, but we have made our goal of $250,000. Thanks to you, the ELCA Malaria Campaign is able to launch work in Uganda.

Danielle Kosanovich, coordinator for the NC Malaria Project, challenged our youth after viewing this clip. Let eradicating malaria be our Space Jam.

* Leadership programs for High School Youth - Staff in Training (SIT) Servants - (one week for youth entering grades 9&10) Staff In Training (SIT) Leaders - (two weeks for youth entering grades 11-13)

Lutheridge-Lutherock Ministries
* Lutheridge + Lutherock + Luther Springs - Summer Camp
Space is still available for summer camp! Don't miss out on a fantastic summer at Lutheridge, Lutherock, or Luther Springs! Staff have been hired and are excited to meet your camper. You can also still sign up for our payment plans.
Scholarships are still available for those requiring financial assistance. Through the generosity of donors, we are able to provide the faith-camp experience to many. We do not want a camper not to be able to come to camp because of finances.
Visit our website at www.novusway.com to learn more about program opportunities available for youth of all ages.
We are looking forward to seeing you soon!
