* Bishop's School 2013 - A FEW SPACES LEFT - yes, even after the deadline. GRACE, my friends, grace. The event is designed for in-depth study and discussion of basic theological tenets of the Christian faith. Participants are in class several hours a day, spend time in daily reflection and study, and participate in small groups for reflection. Service projects in and around the community of Columbia will offer numerous opportunities to assist
youth in their faith journeys. Faith interviews, a variety of worship opportunities, and local service projects will provide a rich experience away from the campus. Free time is scheduled to help balance learning with reflection and relaxation. Bishop Bolick is the bishop in residence this year. Join him!!!

* 2013 NC Synod Assembly happens May 31-June 1st at Lenoir-Rhyne University. Let's lower the average age of this event!!! Bring your youth or young adults. You can have an additional voting member if they are a youth or young adult. PLUS, it's much more fun when they are present and having a voice in all that we do. Early registration ends April 23rd so don't miss the discount. We have two young adults serving as our chaplains - Daniel Locke and Sarah Embry. Join us!

* The NC Synod Mission Trip has closed. We are at our maximum capacity. We look forward to our service time in Pittsburgh this July. Please keep our group in your prayers as we journey to serve and learn July 7-13.

* On our website we have the opportunity to include pictures (slides really that change) on the homepage. I'd love to have pictures of your trips, events, etc. Email me with a 1-2 paragraph description and see your group on the www.lutheranyouth.org homepage.

"God's work, our hands"  - ELCA Malaria Campaign
World Malaria Day is April 25, 2013. We are turning this day into a special week - focusing on the work of the ELCA Malaria Campaign. You and your congregation are invited to join ELCA members across this church in observing World Malaria Day through the ELCA Malaria Campaign on Sunday, April 28, 2013. You can send your offerings to the synod office or bring them with you to our 2013 NC Synod Assembly for the Saturday morning offering.
