 Tracking forklift utilization can help you anticipate when replacement forklifts are needed and help avoid unnecessary costs. This calculator will calculate your approximate utilization rate to help right-size your fleet. Keep in mind, utilization rates can vary depending on seasonal demand. Utilization rates should be monitored for a significant period of time before influencing decision making policy.

When it was brought to our attention that the individual in our train the trainer class had almost no forklift experience, we felt compelled to tell you that you needed someone else to carry out your training. See the OSHA regulation 1910.178(l)(2)(iii). We suggest that you look at your best operators to be your designated trainers. Pick one or two and allow them to train and certify your operators.

 Did you know that operators of powered industrial trucks must be fully trained and employer certified as required by OSHA federal regulation? As part of the regulation, truck operators are required to complete formal classroom training, practical hands-on training and evaluation. Now, through TLM, your local Toyota, Kalmar and Sellick forklift dealer, free forklift operator safety training is available for military veterans.* Toyota-Lift of Minnesota is holding another class for veterans to get them past the certification process. Too often employers require this certification prior to employment. Get that training AT NO COST TO YOU. Classes cover forklift classes I,II, III, IV and V. See an illustration of those through this link. *Vets must present the DD214 prior to the start of class. Class is open only to those vets currently involved in the job search. 5 Needed Roles for Forklift Service

 A forklift dealership's service department is a controlled storm of complete tech forms, time sheets, customer requests, maintenance scheduling, quotes and billing. Is that activity managed, measured, reported and constantly improved upon? It must be if the department is to act responsibly and continually work to improve customer service levels. The larger the technical staff, the greater the dependency there is on a team approach to forklift service. The team approach goes a long way towards insuring that every step of the repair process is handled in a manner that is responsible, and proactively working towards taking care of the customer.

If the load blocks or obstructs there view, yes. Regulation 1910.178(n)(4) and to a degree 1910.178(n)(6) both stress that the operator must have a clear view in the direction of travel.
