PRPS Work Day
It's that time of year! We will have our spring work day on Friday, April 22. Come get together with the PRPS staff and get dirty by cleaning up the office property. Don't miss the Playground Maintenance Workshops
Join us for our newly updated Playground Maintenance Workshops. Attending this workshop will give you hands on experience and knowledge to help make your playgrounds safer. Subjects covered include safety surfacing, audits & inspections, hazards, and maintenance. Continuing Education Units are included in the workshop registration fee; the curriculum is pre- approved for .7 CEUs or 7 Contact Hours.  Registration Fees: $65 for PRPS members and $85 for non- members. 2016 Trail of the Year Announced
DCNR announced the Standing Stone Trail has been named the 2016 Trail of the Year.  Stretching 84 miles through Fulton, Huntingdon and Mifflin counties, the trail traverses central Pennsylvania ridges and valleys, links together two state parks and is a part of the 1,600-mile Great Eastern Trail spanning from Alabama to New York. Programming to Celebrate National Get Outdoors Day in June
Upcoming Webinar Showcases Successful Programs
Team up with governmental agencies, non-profit organizations and the recreation industry to host an event as part of National Get Outdoors Day, where healthy, active, outdoor fun is encouraged in communities. Expert Get Outdoors PA partners will discuss the nuts and bolts of their innovative and successful Get Outdoors Day events. They will provide hands-on, practical suggestions for jump-starting a June Get Outdoors PA program! Cost: Free (Continuing education credit available for $5 to $10, purchase when registering) Register Here!
