The PRPS Survivor Seven Springs Conference is 26 days away! Have you remembered to register? Did you make your room reservation? The room block deadline has expired but Seven Springs is still offering the discounted room rate. This is a conference you don't want to miss. We have so much going on with 70 educational sessions and several interactive activities in the exhibit hall including over 70 vendors. More conference details can be found here.

The Job Bulletin is back! Bring your job postings to the conference and we will post them on the bulletin board in the exhibit hall.
Get Outdoors PA Webinar - Programming National Bike Month
Consider offering a program in May to raise awareness for bicycling in honor of National Bike Month. To help you in the process, Get Outdoors PA will host a one-hour webinar with biking and program experts who will discuss basic skills, bike safety, interpretive tours, road and mountain biking and other recreational riding events. This webinar will also review program structure, audience, partnerships, instructors, promotion, gear and follow-up programs. Cost: Free (Continuing education credit available for $5 to $10, purchase when registering) Register here.

Receive National Recognition for Your Trail Project
If your trail received funding through the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) here is a great opportunity for national recognition that also advocates continued funding for trails! Click here to learn more about the Coalition for Recreational Trails Annual Achievement Awards and download the nomination form. The deadline is Monday, April 4, 2016.
Get Outdoors PA Mini-Grant Deadline Fast Approaching
Get Outdoors PA awarded $14,000 in mini-grants for programs such as wildlife viewing, geocaching and biking in 2015. If you are a Get Outdoors PA Community Partner approved in 2015 or earlier you can apply for a 2016 Get Outdoors PA Mini-Grant. The grants range from $1,500 - $3,000 and can be used to cover 50% of the purchasing costs for equipment and/or staff training for programming related to the 16 Get Outdoors PA activity categories. Find the grant application within the Get Outdoors PA Community Partner Portal. Applications are due electronically to Emily Gates, egates@prps.org, by March 4, 2016, at 4:30 p.m.

Lock Haven University Alumni
If you graduated from the "Haven" in Recreation Management we would appreciate the opportunity to learn from your experiences and expertise. The department is currently reviewing their curriculum and would like your valuable input. Exhibitor Mountain
The Exhibit Hall at the PRPS conference has been transformed into Exhibitor Mountain and will be the gathering place for many activities the most important being our Exhibitor booths.The Exhibitor's torches will never be snuffed out so we ask you to support and form alliances with the Exhibitors by visiting their booth, introducing yourself, listening about their products and thanking them for coming to our conference which will result in rewards for you, them and PRPS.
 
Exhibitor Mountain (Exhibit Hall) will be the place to interact with our Sponsors and Exhibitors so you are not blindsided.  Interaction with the Exhibitors will put you in a position to find hidden Idols and to complete challenges to earn badges in the new PRPS Snap Shot Game! (more info coming on 2/24)The District Challenges will also be happening on Exhibitor Mountain.
D1 Poker Prizes Please!
We are still searching for prizes for the D1 Poker Tournament. Any and all donations are accepted. All proceeds from the tournament go directly to PRPS.
