Student Internship Opportunities
The PA Department of Conservation & Natural Resources is searching for a full-time student interested in gaining valuable first-hand educational experience and on-the-job training by pursuing an internship with the Bureau of Recreation and Conservation. This position is an exciting opportunity for anyone planning to begin a career in Parks & Recreation or Environmental Sciences.
  • Gain a working knowledge of responsibilities associated with parks, trails, rivers and land conservation management.
  • Develop an understanding of the framework of park stewardship.
  • Work with grantees to ensure local park investments are protected.
  • Learn legislation, program policies and Bureau processes.
  • Plenty of additional opportunities in projects related to community parks and conservation.

Land-use webinar series kick-off on 1/20
The recent Reed v. Town of Gilbert Supreme Court case and its implications for municipal sign ordinances will be the topic of a Web-based seminar that will kick off the 2016 Winter/Spring Land Use Webinar Series offered by Penn State Extension on January 20 at noon.
