Annual Conference Information Coming Soon!

The Conference Committee has been working hard to make this a conference you won't want to miss. This year's theme is about shaping the future to overcome tough situations and succeed.
We have a wide variety of educational session tracks such as: professional development, programming, social media and marketing, aquatics, urban recreation, park resources, trail and facilities, inclusion and accessibility.

Over 100 vendors will be there to share their products and services. This is a great opportunity to network with over 400 park and recreation professionals.

PRPS Recognition and Awards Program - Deadline is next month!

The PA Recreation & Park Society provides the opportunity for an individual, group, or agency to be recognized for professional and personal achievements. These prestigious awards will be presented at the annual PRPS Conference on Tuesday, March 14, 2016 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort.

Nominate Your Coach - Deadline is December 31

The Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA's) Double-Goal Coach Award is given to youth and high school sports coaches from around the U.S. who embody the ideals of the Double-Goal Coach: striving to win while also pursuing the more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports.

The award includes $200; a certificate; recognition in PCA's website, newsletters and media campaigns; and the chance to accept the honor in California during PCA's National Youth Sports Awards Dinner and Auction presented by Deloitte.



Therapeutic Recreation Institute Call for Proposals
      
The 2016 TRI session proposal form is  available. The proposal submission deadline is January 31, 2016

The Therapeutic Recreation Institute will be held on May 31-June 3, 2016 at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel in Lancaster, PA. The theme is "TRI The VOICE of YOUR Future."

It's that time of year to pursue CPRP Certification
 
When you apply now through Jan. 31 to take the Certified Park & Recreation Professional (CPRP) exam, you will be eligible for a free CPRP prep course. Not only will you get one of the best tools to help you work toward that certification, but you'll also save some money, too. Did you know?
Professional Service Experience Points (PSE) for NRPA Certification can be earned through service you provide to the parks and recreation profession (e.g., Committee Chair, speaking at a conference, serving as an accreditation visitor, etc). Click here for more details and to see the points earned.
