Hawk Mountain Opens Accessible Trail

 

Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Kempton, Berks County, opened its first-ever ADA accessible trail to its closest overlook on Sunday, July 26, following a standing-room-only dedication that coincided with the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Reminder! Request for Qualifications: Urban Parks & Recreation Consultant - Deadline is August 17   

 

The Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society, Inc. is accepting proposals for a one-time contract to perform certain professional (consulting) services work involving developing urban recreation resources and best practices, and building capacity for urban parks and recreation in Pennsylvania.

Five Tips for Building Healthy Credit

No matter what age you are or stage of life you're in, credit is an important part of your financial health. Having negative marks on your credit report impacts not only your credit score, but can also interfere with your ability to qualify for an auto loan, get a reasonable rate on a credit card, be chosen for a job, or even get a good rate on car insurance.

 

Whether you have good credit and are looking to improve it further or have some credit cleaning up to do, here are five simple tips for building healthy credit that you can start doing today.

DCNR and PRPS are hosting workshops in six regions across the commonwealth to educate recreation professionals on DCNR's Community Conservation Partnerships Program. These workshops are free of charge and will cover in addition to the grant program; land acquisition, community park planning, community park development, and trails.
