Results will be announced on Wednesday, July 8 in the Enews. 

 

 

Request for Proposals: Urban Parks and Recreation Consultant - Deadline July 1 

  

The Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society, Inc. is accepting proposals for a one-time contract to perform certain professional (consulting) service work involving development of urban recreation resources and best practices, building capacity for urban parks and recreation, and beginning planning to develop a community park maintenance program in Pennsylvania.

DCNR and Partners to Release Statewide Plan for Outdoor Recreation at Pottstown Rumble Outdoor Volleyball Tournament 

 

Harrisburg, PA- Tomorrow, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn will join local officials, the Schuylkill River Heritage Area and the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation to announce the completion of Pennsylvania's Outdoor Recreation Plan at an event at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Park in Pottstown.

 

Outdoor recreation initiatives invigorate citizens and communities, creating jobs that pay, encouraging healthy lifestyles and promoting environmental stewardship. The plan is a blueprint to help connect citizens to healthy outdoor recreation that will guide work and priorities for the next several years. 

 

The event will be held at Center Court during the first day of the Pottstown Rumble outdoor volleyball tournament. Three time Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor will participate in the event.
