Update on RT Licensure in PA

Rep. Sabatina, who is sponsoring the RT Practice Act, was re-elected last week. This is great news for us, as he will have another 2 years in office and plenty of time to get the RT Practice Act through the legislative process.

The RT Practice Act will be officially introduced on June 3, 2014. On this date, four people from the RT Licensure Committee in PA will be going to Harrisburg to meet with the Department of State and the Professional Licensing Committee to discuss the purpose and importance of this bill. They will be joined by Rep. Sabatina and George Kenny (a Governmental Affairs liaison from Temple University who helped set up the meetings).

What we need YOU to do!

We need to get your Legislators to sign onto the bill as co-sponsors. Please contact your Legislators and let them know how important this bill is to the protection of our citizens. To find out who your Legislators are, click hereAlso let them know that they can contact Rep. John Sabatina for a copy of the bill.

Please contact Dr. Heather Porter at hporter@temple.edu and let her know who you contacted and if they agreed to be (or declined to be) a co-sponsor.
