It's a TV show I've never seen and never intend to. However, I accidently caught a brief portion of the promo for Bridezilla's Marriage Boot Camp, which only confirmed that intention. In it, the wife, speaking about the relationship with her husband, declared, "We are both selfish... But I want what I want-and I will get it!"

Anyone can see that that's not going to be a pretty picture.

Regardless of its entertainment value, however, selfishness is the most destructive of all behaviors, no matter what the setting.

Student Scholarships

The Larry G. Williamson, Robert Crawford Memorial, Delores Andy, and John H. Jones Memorial Scholarships are generously contributed funds allowing four student to attend the PA Recreation & Park Society's 67th Annual State Conference free of charge.

PRPS Trainings

A Practical Guide for Planning and Programming for Persons with Dementia (The Dementia workshops were rescheduled to the following dates below.)

The workshops will cover all aspects, starting with the disease process through programming and care planning for all phases of dementia care. This workshop is ideal for anyone dealing with dementia on a casual or a day-to-day basis.

Collecting real-life stories to help make a difference...

MossRehab is collecting real-life stories about times when people in the community did NOT practice good disability etiquette. We're going to take these stories and re-enacting them in videos to educate people about ways to practice good etiquette.

We're hoping patients will share their stories. Please encourage your patients/colleagues/friends/contacts to share their story via this link.

DCNR Grant Workshops for Recreation and Conservation Projects

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Bureau of Recreation and Conservation 2014 grant program for public recreation and conservation projects opens Jan. 15, 2014 and ends April 16, 2014. In partnership with the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society, DCNR is offering free, in-person grant workshops at six locations across Pennsylvania in February.
