Does your agency allow hobbyist beekeepers to keep hives at any of your facilities?

If so, have you encountered any risk factors with your insurer or any issues with patrons to your facility?  We are considering allowing hives at our municipal gardens.  According to our resident bee-keeper, having bee hives on location increases your crop yield 30%.

Insurance Fairness for Amputees Act Introduced in Congress!
The Insurance Fairness for Amputees Act has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives as H.R. 3020 with bipartisan support from Representative Charlie Dent (R-PA) and Representative Rob Andrews (D-NJ). The legislation would impact insurance plans throughout the country and ensure that if an insurance company offers prosthetic coverage in their plan that it must be covered like other benefits in the policy without caps or restrictions. We urge you to contact your representatives and ask them to sign on to H.R. 3020 as a cosponsor because arms and legs are not a luxury. You can find out who your representative is and how to contact them by going here: http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

You can also find a sample letter or call script on our Website here.
