Peter Drucker, famed guru on innovation, stated in his book Management Challenges for the 21st Century, that the most important contribution of management was the 50 fold increase in productivity of the "manual worker" in manufacturing. And went onto to state that, "The most important contribution management needs to make in the 21st century is similarly to increase the productivity of knowledge work and the knowledge worker."

As a result, in this month's InSight, we highlight the strategy of Google with Google Glass since it targets the "knowledge worker" productivity and has the promise to take what the iPhone started to an entirely new level.

 A new Forrester report says roughly 21.6 million Americans would buy Google Glass if it were available today and a number of companies and developers have already released third-party apps.

What are some of those apps and what're the advantages for being an early adopter?

 

Solutions Impacting the Bottom Line:
 
Outsourcing pays off for Maryland State Health Pharmacy (MSHP). When MSHP's website was repeatedly hacked, they engaged Software Consortium (SCI) to design and build a new website. SCI recommended a solution that also brought new capabilities for MSHP to serve its membership and mission more effectively.
