Senior Lucy Byers wins Tier One Scholarship from U of H
| |
 Lutheran High North is proud to announce that Senior Lucy Byers has received a Tier One Scholarship to the University of Houston. The UH Tier One Scholarship program is a distinguished, high-profile award program intended to attract highly qualified students to the University of Houston. Lucy's award consists of a full academic scholarship for four years, room and board, a stipend for Undergraduate Research and a stipend to study abroad. |

Senior Micah Brouwer wins

Senior Micah Brouwer has received the
Academic Distinction Scholarship from University of Texas-Dallas. This scholarship consists of:
- Complete coverage of UT Dallas tuition and mandatory fees
- $1,000 per semester cash stipend to defray the costs of books, supplies and other expenses

Total estimated value over four academic years: $54,368

Meet & Greet for
Coach Robbins & Mr. Lusk
March 18th

 There will be a "Meet and Greet" with the new athletic director, Coach Nathan Robbins on Monday, March 18th in the Student Learning Center (upstairs Room 205) from 5-6pm. The student body will meet the new Athletic Director/Football Coach on Monday afternoon during the school day. He will be addressing all the athletes as a group as well. If parents would like to meet Coach Nathan Robbins he will be available at the "Meet and Greet" at 5pm along with a skyping opportunity with the incoming Head of School, Mr. Dallas Lusk.
Mr. Lusk will be in the Houston area on Sunday and Monday, March 10th and 11th. Please contact both Mr. Lusk and Coach Robbins if you would like to ask either of them questions or set up a time to meet with them individually.

Practice PSAT for 9th & 10th Graders

This is an actual PSAT test which will be proctored and timed as a real test. The cost is $10. The actual test will be returned to the students with all the correct answers once the tests are scored.

LHN Golf Team
| |
 The LHN men's golf team won Second place in the Baytown Christian Golf Tournament last week. Coach Lohmeyer said the young team is really improving quickly. There are no seniors on this team. Jake Aruffo led the team with an 85, Tom Mcdade had an 87 and Trey Saenz had a 91. Colby Fullen was the final team scorer with a 98. Congratulations to our Men's Golf team.

Bethesda Lutheran Communities
| |
 Bethesda Lutheran Communities, a national organization serving people with developmental disabilities, is looking for more than 750 high school and college-aged students to serve at our five retreat locations. We are looking for more than 60 kids to serve at Camp Bethesda in Tomball, Texas.
This distinctive volunteer opportunity is affordable (only $225 suggested donation) and provides an excellent basis for faith formation and a different kind of service. More information can be found at

Moms In Touch

 Moms In Touch is currently meeting in the chapel of the Harriet and Joe Foster Family YMCA at 1234 W. 34th Street on Tuesdays from 9:00am to 10:00am. They begin with a Bible reading, devotion and end with prayer. All women are welcome whether you are a mom, aunt, grandma, or just a woman who God is calling to pray with other women for the students, staff, faculty, and ministry of Lutheran High North.
