Dear Oak Knoll Parents,
Thank you for taking time to complete our Oak Knoll Site Survey this year! Each grade level was well represented, with a total of 535 responses overall, which is great since we believe that feedback is key in helping us analyze the current situation, reflect, and improve our school for our students and families.
Our survey data is always informative and helps us plan, revise, and reinforce programs at Oak Knoll. We spend time analyzing the data and then meet individually with every staff member to review his/her specific data. These conversations with our teachers happen now so we have time to make necessary changes before the year is over. Click here to read Ms. Gracia's full letter on the Oak Knoll Site Survey Results. |
Parenting in the Digital Age Evening
|
In response to parent feedback in the annual Site Council Survey, Oak Knoll would like to invite all parents to join Mrs. Gracia and staff to Parenting in the Digital Age: We are in this together!, a parent education evening. We are offering this event to our parents at the preferred time, from 7:00-8:30pm, on Monday, May 16, in the Gym.
It seems almost impossible to stay up with what our children face and are interested in on the tech front. How do we stay current and at the same time support our children as they navigate through their childhood with the added challenge and gift of technology? On May 16th TOGETHER we will discuss, share, learn and develop community agreements to keep our kids safe online and engaged in life outside of technology. This is a parent participation event and you will leave with recommendations that you can implement at home! We are also offering FREE onsite babysitting!

2016-2017 Room Parent Sign-ups - Open Now
|
The room parent program will have a new look next school year! To streamline the role of room parents and increase the volunteering opportunities for all classroom parents, there will now be two room parents per classroom, with the responsibilities being shared.
So don't miss out! Sign up now for one of the most rewarding volunteer roles at Oak Knoll. It's a great way to get to know other parents and your child's teacher, and you'll get to know firsthand what's going on in your child's classroom. Room parents typically help to organize class parties, field trips, and organize parent volunteers when needed. Also, being a room parent doesn't require much on-campus time - so, even if you have little ones still at home or you work full-time, it's a perfect way to get involved!
It is our hope to accommodate everyone, so we appreciate your understanding and flexibility if that is not possible. Please remember that all current room parents must sign up again for next year, including Multi-age class room parents.
