Results for the California Young Reader Medal Award books are in!  The overall Oak Knoll Winner in the 'picture book' category is:  "Princess Hyacinth, The Surprising Tale of a Girl Who Floated" by Florence Parry Heide.  The winner of the 'picture books for older readers' category is:  "Henry's Freedom Box" by Ellen Levine, and the winner of the 'intermediate' category is:  "Violet Raines Almost Got Struck By Lightening" by Danette Haworth.

Library auction items in action!  Mia Wurster has been doing an incredible job on KNOL.  For one week, she reviews a book a day, getting us excited for summer reading.  She uses props, is creative, speaks with confidence and expression, is very entertaining, and is clearly having as much fun reviewing her favorite books as we are watching her.  This is one of the library auction items every year.  I want to thank you all for your incredible support of the foundation!!!
