MA Small Business Development Center ( MSBDC) provides free and confidential business advisory services to existing or prospective small business people. The United Regional Chamber of Commerce proudly welcomes two MSBDC advisors at the Chamber's offices in Franklin and Attleboro.

Free Small Business Legal Clinic Sept. 13

The Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network (MSBDC) has organized a free legal clinic on Sept. 13 provided by Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP for small businesses at the Chamber. You are able to schedule a confidential 30-minute meeting with Chris Cassara, a partner at Partridge Snow & Hahn between 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to discuss general legal questions such as corporate structure, leases, contracts, insurance, employment, franchising, etc. Register by calling Allison at MSBDC: 508-673-9783 x10.

Friends & Family Fall Fest Sept. 22

Sad to see the summer end? Not looking forward to putting away the bathing suits, flip flops and shorts and taking out the winter hats, boots and jackets? ... Well we are right there with you! The United Regional Chamber has the perfect way to end the summer. We are inviting all of you to our Friends & Family Fall Fest. In true Chamber fashion, we have taken care of everything. Our location is the Country Gardens Special Event Facility, 339 Tremont St., Rehoboth, MA 02769, a six-acre facility with beautiful gardens and a lawn big enough to host volleyball, croquet, bocce and horseshoes.
Don't worry about the food we have that covered too. B&M Catering Company is providing a magnificent pig roast with all the sides including their fabulous, mouth-watering cornbread. Are you worried that there won't be anything to do? Well don't fret about that either because the good folks at FUN Enterprises have that covered as well with FUN activities and surprises!
So bring your family, your friends, your employees, and your co-workers for what promises to be a Funtastic time! Our date is Sept. 22 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Grab your sandals, shorts or sweaters but leave those business cards at home. This event is a chance to have fun, relax, de-stress, and have a great time!

Kerri A. Quintal, P.C. recently attended the four-day Family Law Mediation Workshop at the MCLE Conference Center in Boston. The completion of the training enables Attorney Quintal to serve as a family law mediator in compliance with state requirements of Rule 8.
Bristol County Savings Bank continues to be one of 52 Massachusetts banks originating loans through the Small Business Banking Partnership created by the Massachusetts State Treasury. This program is redistributing state tax funds to insured, responsible community banks that will extend new loans to small businesses. The program was started on July 13, 2011 and since that time Bristol County Savings Bank has originated 122 small business loans that meet the underwriting requirements outlined by the Small Business Banking Partnership, with committed original loan balances totaling $15,316,443.10, and with outstanding principal balances of $10,181,630.00 as of June 30, 2013.
