Executive Express-o July 12

The next meeting of Executive Express-o will be held Friday, July 12 from 8 a.m. to 8:55 a.m. at the Attleboro office of The United Regional Chamber of Commerce. Executive Express-o is a free monthly program designed to help business leaders overcome the obstacles they face to grow their businesses faster and more profitably. Ribbon Cutting July 17 |
The United Regional Chamber of Commerce has organized a ribbon cutting event on July 17 at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the grand opening of A Kup at a Time, 25 Taunton St., Suite 5, Plainville. A Kup at a Time is a new store offering products for all of single-serve coffee needs. The store carries a variety of brands of K-cups and Vue paks for use with Keurig brewers. |
Business After Hours July 25

Attleboro Enterprises will host the Chamber's next Business After Hours on July 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The networking event will be held at Attleboro Enterprises, 284 John Dietsch Blvd., North Attleborough. Arts, Culture & Tourism Forums |
State Rep. Cory Atkins (D-Concord) and Sen. Kathleen O'Connor Ives (D-Newburyport) co-chairs of the Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts, and Cultural Development announced today that the Committee will hold a series of public hearings in communities across the state. The forums are meant to solicit ideas from the arts, cultural, and tourism communities, and the general public, to help the Committee develop policies that strengthen arts, culture, and tourism in Massachusetts. All meetings will be held from 10 a.m. to noon unless otherwise noted. The meetings are accessible and the public is encouraged to attend.

Bristol County Savings Bank has named 20-year municipal finance veteran, Denise Murphy, to the position of vice president - government finance. A resident of Norton, Denise is a member of the Massachusetts Collectors and Treasurers Association and the Bristol County Treasurers & Collectors Association. She has also been active in the local community throughout her career and presently holds the position of treasurer at Faith Alliance Church in Attleboro. Murphy resides in Norton. |

Marketing Research Ctr Accepting Clients

Have you considered marketing research to make your business more competitive? The UMass Dartmouth Center for Marketing Research (CMR) is currently accepting requests from area businesses and other organizations to perform marketing research for the fall semester, beginning in September 2013. CMR performs customized market research at very affordable prices. The final report is presented to the client at a dinner reception at the end of the semester. CMR provides marketing assistance utilizing Center staff, faculty, students, and expert practitioners. The Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is circulating for public review and comment two important transportation planning documents: 1) a proposed Amendment Two to the MPO's Long-Range Transportation Plan,
Paths to a Sustainable Region, and 2) a revised draft Federal Fiscal Years 2014-17 Transportation Improvement Program, which includes an Air Quality Conformity Determination. Read about these documents and the public meeting regarding them here.
