Executive Express-o Dec. 7
|
Executive Express-o will be held this Friday, Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to 8:55 a.m. at the Attleboro office of the Chamber. The topic this month is: The Fiscal Cliff: What Am I Going to Do? As always, there is no charge for Chamber members to attend Executive Express-o. Each month, in an informal atmosphere, Executive Express-o helps business leaders overcome the obstacles they face to grow their businesses faster and more profitably. Register by email.

Ribbon Cutting Dec. 12

The United Regional Chamber of Commerce has organized a ribbon cutting event in celebration of the grand opening of Jalapenos Grill, 11 Robert Toner Blvd., North Attleborough. The event will be held Dec. 12 at 11:30 a.m.Jalapenos Grill is located in the former home of Piccadilly Pub and offers a wide variety of "Mex without the Tex" food.

Little Red Riding Hood Production

The United Regional Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a production of Little Red Riding Hood featuring FanFare Theatre on Dec. 16. The show will be held at Attleboro High School, 100 Rathbun Willard Dr., Attleboro, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Admission is free! Bring the special children in your life to one of these shows to enjoy this classic fairytale!

HarborOne Credit Union was named one of the region's best employers in the November 4th edition of The Boston Sunday Globe. Specifically, the Globe's 2012 Top Places to Work magazine insert ranked the Bank as the 7th best workplace in the "Large Employers" category based on surveys of employees. The surveys rated employers on workplace practices in leadership, management, compensation and training, appreciation, career opportunities, workforce flexibility and diversity.
Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro has been included on The Leapfrog Group's annual list of top hospitals. Sturdy Memorial was selected as a top hospital out of nearly 1,200 hospitals participating in The Leapfrog Group's annual survey which measures hospitals' performance on patient safety and quality, focusing on three critical areas of hospital care: how patients fare, resource use, and management structures in place to prevent errors. The results of the survey are posted on this website.

Franklin Food Drive

The Franklin Food Elves are combining forces with the Franklin Downtown Partnership for the "12 Days of Donating" campaign to benefit the Franklin Food Pantry. The Food Elves aim to collect 1,200 pounds of food in 12 days through Dec. 12. Bins to collect food are located throughout Franklin, including at Berry Insurance, Dean Bank, Dean College, DCU, Murphy Business, RE/Max and Franklin Downtown Partnership.
