Gaelic Storm
Calvin Theater Saturday, March 01, 2014 ~ 8:00 PM $26.00
Gaelic Storm's #1 Billboard World Album The Boathouse, is a seafaring collection of traditional songs; twelve tales of plight and plunder, whiskey-drenched pirates, flying cannon balls and the ladies of ill repute recorded in one whiskey-fueled week in a converted boathouse on The Chesapeake Bay. The group's ability to deftly include rock and folk in the framework of the Celtic tradition has enabled them to perform on the same bill with the Zac Brown Band and the Goo Goo Dolls as well as Emmylou Harris and Lyle Lovett at events as varied as the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Milwaukee's Summerfest. Ready your sea legs; you'll need them for this show at the Calvin Theatre; an annual celebration that marks the beginning of St. Patrick's month and a wide array of Celtic bands in town. In addition to reserved seats, there will be an open dance floor at the front of the Calvin for this show.
