Our goal is to keep our Chamber and Community members informed and engaged in local events. We invite you to discover the creative pulse that makes Holyoke such a great place to live and to visit.  We will also, on occasion, include information on regional events that might be of interest to our Chamber and Communtity members.

Statewide Towing Association President, William E Johnson (Hampshire Towing) has been selected for induction into the International Towing & Recovery Hall of Fame ~ Class of 2013

CHATTANOOGA, TN - Nine outstanding industry leaders have been selected for induction into the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame as the Class of 2013.

Marc De Wilde (Gentbrugge, Belgium), John H. Glass (Morris Plains, New Jersey), Marvin R. Harris-Deceased (Greensboro, North Carolina), Rolfe W. Johnson (Snohomish, Washington), William E. Johnson (Granby, Massachusetts), Joseph G. Kolodziej (Pinellas Park, Florida), Michael N. Pool (Odessa, Texas), Joseph A. Wilkinson (New Haven, Connecticut), and Ren� W. Zuber (Urdorf, Switzerland) were nominated by members of the International Towing & Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum for their many contributions to the towing and recovery industry, their families and their communities.

"Each year, the inductees share common strengths which have led to their nomination into this prestigious group," says Bill Gratzianna, President of the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum.

"This year's inductees share a dedication to their state and local towing organizations as well as the national towing and recovery community."

Hall of Fame members will be recognized at an induction ceremony to be held at 6 p.m. on September 21st, 2013 at the DoubleTree Hotel of Chattanooga. null 11th Annual Founder's Day Event

 

 The City of Holyoke will be hosting its 11th Annual Founder's Day Car Show on Sunday, September 8th, 2013. The streets of downtown Holyoke will be filled with antiques, street rods, classics, customs, imports and special interest automobiles from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. The cars will be organized and judged by Low & Perfection Car Club. Kids can enjoy Die Cast Car Racing by J & J Hot Match. Bring your own cars or buy one when you get there.

 

There will be car & motorcycle judging, food vendors and music provided by DJ Edski. This is a family friendly event, with plenty of activities for kids to enjoy. The Merry-Go-Round will be open for rides.

 

Please be advised that some downtown streets will be closed after 5:30AM. There will be no parking on High Street (from Appleton to Lyman Street) and Dwight Street (from Maple to Front Street) because they will be closed for the event.

in school, it is time for the Holyoke Merry-Go-Round to open under our "Fall Hours."
