According to ABM's latest Business Information Network (BIN) report, data business grew 7.2 percent between Q3 2012 and Q3 2013. Many companies are recognizing the monetization of data and business information as a clear opportunity for recurring revenue, and as such, two of the nation's biggest agricultural publishers have recently joined the trend. Read more.
 

 

 


Elections For SIIA Board Of Directors To Be Held In April
  
Next month, six of the 20 seats on the SIIA's board of directors, the body that sets rules, regulations and goals for the trade association, will be up for election. According to the existing bylines, any full member of SIIA can self-nominate for a two-year term on the board. Read more.

Scout Analytics has been acquired by recurring revenue management firm ServiceSource. ServiceSource's existing resources will increase Scout Analytics' overall footprint to $14 billion while extending its reach into new markets.

 

Praetorian Group has announced that John Suhler has been named a member of Praetorian's advisory board. Suhler, co-founder of Veronis Suhler Stevenson and the former president of CBS Publishing Group, will put his five decades of b-to-b experience to use in this consultative capacity.

 

ALM has debuted a redesigned version of its primary website, Law.com, with more of a focus placed on both user-generated content and content from other ALM sites. The move toward user-generated content follows a licensing deal between ALM and Forbes.

 

Penton has announced four new hires for its digital leadership team: vice president of engineering John Paul, vice president of product management Amruta Gadre, director of design Sebastian Broways and director of data science and predictive analytics Roger Craig.
