Kaha:wi Dance Theatre is hosting a "Behind the Curtain" open studio event leading up to our North American Premiere of Susuriwka - willow bridge for a behind-the-scenes look into the creative development of the work. Composer OKI (Japan) will also honour guests with an intimate performance sampling the musical score of Susuriwka - willow bridge. Following the rehearsal and performance we open up the floor to questions from the audience.Please join us on Wednesday, August 15th, 2012 at Canada's National Ballet School - Room 4B ( 400 Jarvis Street, Toronto). Guests are encouraged to arrived between 7:15 and 7:30pm.

About KDT's "Behind the Curtain" Open Studio Series Kaha:wi Dance Theatre's "Behind the Curtain" open studio series brings audiences in touch with the dance/theatre rehearsal process and Santee Smith's work in an intimate way. This "backstage access" allows an informal atmosphere that encourages dialogue between audiences and artists. Artists are able to receive direct feedback from their viewers and learn how to verbally articulate their work. |
