How Much Am I Paying? 

Yes, I have increased my pricing for the first time in about 9 years, but costs are increasing not only for supplies but in the area of education and licensing.  However, I still feel confident that I am offering the best prices around.  The average form 1040 with itemizing costs about $215 and the average form 1040 without itemizing costs about $123.  Even with my new pricing structure, you will still only pay about $105 for form 1040 with itemizing and $85 for form 1040 without itemizing.  In addition, the average business return is over $600 where I charge $300 or less.

Appointments  

Now a word on appointments...As in previous years, I'm asking that you please plan not to make an appointment for your tax preparation but rather help me save those time slots for new clients.  I can allow up to 15 minutes to discuss things with you upon drop-off or pick-up if you schedule a specific time in advance.  However, unless I feel that your situation warrants us sitting down together, I will add a rush fee of at least $20 to any "wait for my taxes" appointment requests for repeat clients.   

Please understand that my time is limited and I can actually service most returns more quickly if you simply drop them off (or otherwise provide the documents to me) and let me get back with you as soon as they are ready.  Also, please make child care arrangements rather than planning to bring your children with you as I have VERY limited space in my new home (see below).

Yes, you can still fax, email, or upload securely to my website any of your tax documents for me to prepare your return.  Also make sure that you do not email or fax any sensitive data (social security numbers, etc) but rather use my "Secure Submissions" options on my website.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to give me a call or drop me an email!
