Catching the Opportunities
Dr. Christine Murray (Class of '88)
While attending NSAC, Dr. Christine Murray was a go-getter.
She participated in all types of activities from intramural sports, to helping prepare animals for College Royal, Winter Carnival events, woodsman weekend events, social activities and even co-editing the yearbook in her final year.
"I wanted to get the most out of my university experience as possible," said Christine. "I threw myself into campus activities, enjoyed being involved, while also concentrating on academics." More...

Nova Scotia Horticulturist Created Important new Varietals Donald Craig (Class of '45)
Donald Craig was awed by the beauty of a rhododendron's spectacular flaring petals and deep evergreen leaves. He took such delight in the magenta, purple, pink and white blooms that from the Kentville Agriculture Centre in the heart of Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley he carefully developed several varieties of the glorious plant and in the process pioneered the introduction and popularization of rhododendrons not only in Nova Scotia, but throughout the Maritimes.

Oulton Family: Environmental Farm Stewards of the Year Wayne Oulton (Class of '94)
"We consider the environment in all our business decisions," says Wayne Oulton of W.G. Oulton & Sons Ltd. Whether they're pasturing a new type of livestock or considering how to best store fuel on the farm, they research all projects to make sure they're up to date with new technologies. For their hard work and dedication to making their farm "greener" with less labour input, the Oulton Family have been named the of 2011 Environmental Farm Stewards of the Year. More...

Coffee House for Brian Esau
You're invited to a Coffee House for former NSAC student, Brian Esau. The fundraiser will aide in Brian's rehabilitation from a C5 spinal cord injury, which he sustained in Aug. 2011.
All proceeds will go towards equipment and expenses associated with Brian's recovery.

Free will offering admission, raffle tickets, 50/50 draws, desserts and beverages for purchase. Entertainment provided by Tim Bowers, Kyle Miller, Dean Murphy and more!
