DOTDOT Announces Rule Banning Hand-Held Cellphones for Interstate Truck and Bus Drivers  

On Dec. 2, 2011, the Department of Transportation (DOT) announced a final rule specifically prohibiting interstate truck and bus drivers from using hand-held cellphones while operating their vehicles. The prohibition went into effect on Jan. 3, 2012. Read the DOT bulletin
